The journey begins... or continues...

I returned this week from my sixth Intersystems Global Summit (2012,'15,'16,'17,'18,'19).  As usual, the conference was fun, informative and overwhelming.  Thanks to Intersystems, I have now visited areas near Orlando (twice), Phoenix, Palm Desert, San Antonio and Boston's Back Bay area.  How did I get to this point?   30+ years ago, I was graduating from the University of Cincinnati's Business College with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Information Systems, working part time at the Clifton branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County (PLCH), and headed to Indiana University's School of Library Science to complete a Master in Library Science with emphasis in library automation. I landed back at PLCH as a reference librarian in the Government and Business department and within 18 months had moved to a programming job (RPG on an AS400) in the Computer Services department.  The library had its own homegrown automation...
